Conservation areas are special and always evolving and Camden Council works in partnership with local amenity groups, Conservation Area Advisory Committees and Camden Councillors to preserve them.

We are now proposing special planning measures to help protect our conservation areas.

A street in CamdenThese measures affect the Belsize, Hampstead and Swiss Cottage conservation areas.

They will help to ensure the historic character of these areas is preserved and that they remain an interesting and attractive place to live.
